Referee Training

Chappaqua AYSO is committed to developing youth and adult referees.  We provide all the training and support you need to take charge and keep the game safe, fun and fair.

Regional Referee Training 

For: Youths (12yrs old and up) and Adults interested in becoming a referee

What you need to do (this looks much harder than it is)

  1. Register as a volunteer: Register yourself or your child as a volunteer.  Follow the registration instructions here.
  2. Take “Safe Haven”: Go to AYSO U, log in using your Blue Sombrero credentials, click on the link for “Online Courses”, and complete the course “Safe Haven”.
  3. Concussion Awareness training: Go to AYSO U, log in using your Blue Sombrero credentials, click on the link for “Online Courses”, and complete the course “CDC: Concussion Course”.
  4. Regional Referee Online Course:  Go to AYSO U, log in using your Blue Sombrero credentials, click on the link for “Online Courses”, and complete the course “Regional Referee Training”.
  5. In-Person Course Sign Up: Course registration is via AYSO U

When:  8/24/19 and 9/7/19 (you only have to attend one)

Where:   8/24:  HC Crittenden Middle School, Armonk

9/7: Washington Irvine School Cafeteria 103 S. Broadway, Tarrytown, NY 10591

  • After logging in to aysou.org, click on “In-Person Courses”, then “Referee Instructor-Led Courses”, then “Regional Referee Online Companion Course”.
  • Scroll down to find the class held in Tarrytown on your date and click the “Register” button on the right.
  • The start & end times for the class are listed under the class name.
